This TikTok pasta originates from Finland! In fact, it is so popular there that for a while feta was sold out in the supermarkets (feta sales were up 300%!). A Finnish food blogger came up with this easy oven baked pasta dish.

The great thing about this recipe is that you can vary (variation tips can be found at the bottom of the recipe): for example, you can easily make it a vegan pasta or add other vegetables! Or use goat cheese instead of feta.

Baked Feta Pasta: the TikTok Pasta Recipe
This baked feta pasta recipe is especially perfect if you are busy: you will be ready in no time. And you don’t have to pay attention at all. You just need to put the ingredients in a baking dish (without cutting anything) and boil pasta.
This dish is known internationally as baked feta pasta and its original Finnish name is uunifeta pasta. The dish became very popular in Finland when food blogger Jenni Häyrinen shared the recipe in 2018.
And after another food blogger translated the recipe into English, it conquered the rest of the world.
Baked feta is very tasty (we know that from the Greeks, of course), so Jenni thought, why not make it into a pasta sauce?

Feta Cheese Pasta
Yes this is one of our most favorite veggie pasta recipes. But what ingredients do you need for this feta cheese pasta? Pasta, cherry tomatoes (the sweeter the tomatoes, the tastier the sauce), oil, and feta.
Season with pepper, salt, Italian herbs, garlic and fresh basil. Optionally, also use chili flakes if you like spicier food.
Vegetarian Pasta Recipe
But how exactly do you make this vegetarian pasta recipe? First put the tomatoes in a baking dish and mix with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Make room in the center of the baking dish and place the block of feta in the center.
Pour 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the feta and sprinkle with chili flakes, Italian herbs, pepper and salt to taste. Place the baking dish in the oven for 30 minutes, or until the tomatoes tear open.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the directions on the package and drain.
Crush the garlic and prepare (tear) the basil leaves. Remove the baking dish from the oven and stir in the garlic. Stir until the feta and tomatoes form a nice creamy sauce. Then stir in the pasta.
Serve with basil and enjoy!

- 3 ⅓ cup sweet cherry tomatoes (500 gram)
- 1 block feta*

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 ℉ / 200 ℃.
- Put the tomatoes in a baking dish and mix with 3 tablespoons olive oil.

We eat this recipe with the two of us, but those 2 portions are on the large side!
