Course: Dinner
Cuisine: Dutch
Servings: 7 pancakes

  • 150 grams flour 1 cup
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 350 milliliters milk* 1½ cup
  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 bag vanilla sugar (to make the pancake sweet)

  • Sift the flour to prevent lumps in the batter.
  • Put all the dry ingredients in a bowl (flour, baking powder, salt + possibly cinnamon / vanilla sugar) and mix with the (vegetable) milk and oil to a nice smooth batter. Are there still a few lumps in it? Doesn't matter, you won't taste anything later.
  • Depending on the type of milk you are using, the batter may be thicker or thinner than you like. Is the batter too thick? Add water until the batter is as thin as you want. Is your batter too thin? Add some flour.
  • Time to bake! Heat a knob of butter or oil in a frying pan, wait until the pan is warm and fry the pancakes until golden brown over medium heat.

* do you want to make vegan pancakes? Then use vegetable milk.
